    Default MP3 Players?

My Treo came preinstalled with RealPlayer, which I mostly... hate. Are there other mp3 players out there for the Treo 650? Recommendations? Reviews?

Pocket Tunes is probably the most popular player right now. Others include mOcean, and TCPMP (which is also a video player).

Dioplayer is a really good free mp3 player. I hated realplayer myself, and dioplayer is really nice. TCPMP is a good player too, good sound quality, but you can't create playlists with it, where you can with dioplayer.

Also with TCPMP u can't have your music play in the background like ptunes, mocean and others.

I don't know if dioplayer can?

Dioplayer does allow you to play music while you have other apps open. The only downside I have found with dioplayer is the equalizer settings: they don't really do what they're intended to. The freeness of it cancels it out and it is my favorite player.

What DOES the equalizer do? Also - how do you install the program? From the website:

Note: Download the ZIP file and install both the library file (DioLib.prc, must be in RAM) and the main program (DioPlayer.prc, may reside either in RAM or on your SD Card).
OK - so do I download to my palm desktop? PC? Palm?

I haven't played with it, but, based on what you pasted, you should (from your PC) double-click the .zip file, which will open it, showing both the .prc files. DioLib.prc must be installed on your Treo. Double-clicking it will put into QuickInstall, so it will install the next time you sync. The DioPlayer.prc can be installed to the Treo or to the card to save space on your Treo.

The new Kinoma 4 EX (and old one) (www.kinoma.com) also handles the file type you are interested in; however, it does not operate in the background. Ben
