Default MP3 RINGTONES for 650

has anyone bought an mp3 program for the 650 or tried one? i tried treoguard and ringo. treoguard caused my treo to crash so i deleted it and ringo seems to work great.

ringo allows you to use different mp3 ringtones for everyone in your phone book.

let us know if you have tried any of these or other programs on ur 650 that allow you to use mp3's for ringtones.

Default Ringo

I have ringo for mp3 and it works great, there will be an update soon to allow you to directly input a picture for caller id. For now you have to go to your contact on your 650.

Informative ringo

I have ringo and its ok. you can make ring tones out of anything but you have to keep the same sd card in. I bounce from card to card for movies and mp3's and its a drag if I don't have the right one in.

Default another option: mring

I'll be getting my 650 this week, but I'll probably try this app pretty quickly:

I like lightwav better it also allows for outbound tones so when you make a call instead of you hearing it just ring its a song....differrent tones for everyone and seems a bit more stable than others I have tried.....

What I have done is used a program that is FREE called MPtrim. This program allows you to clip the mp3 file so you can use an mp3 file that you have trimmed as a ringtone. Instead of using the ENTIRE song that uses more of the SDs memory. I currently have 108 ringtones and am using a 64MB card.

If I did not trim the mp3 I would have like less than 20 ringtones.

After trimming the files create a folder to put the ringtones in and simply move them over onto the SD. Then use an app like Ringo and assign the trimmed ringtone to the person or group.

I have a Treo 650 and have never found any ringtones that were very interesting (not into rap or 80s). My Verizon Nokia has great ringtones available for $3 each. Is there such for the Treo, or do I have to purchase a $30 app in order to purchase ringtones?
