Verichat has gotten better at every release! A must have if you instant message a lot. There is another one coming down the pipeline called Chatter. It's supposed to be incredible but it's been in beta for what seems like forever and you have to sign up with the developer as a beta tester but I haven't bothered. I keep waiting for him to release it.
I really ought to get splash photo as I hear it's the best for photo's on the treo. Right now I'm just using the HS photo app. It's not that great but for the amount of photo's I put on my treo (my kid) I guess it will do.

I definitely recommend Splash Photo. The desktop application is great. Works great. I use it for my Picture Caller ID (which reminds me...I haven't had set up since I last drained my battery). That's another great app and it gets along well with TC Ringer.

Try Xiino. It's a great alternative to Blazer and supports most java script:

I recently cleared out a bunch of apps that, while cool looking, were not getting any use. I'm down to just what I need for my day-to-day use.

Directory Assistant Looks up phone numbers, addresses, and even gets MapQuest driving directions. Saved my bacon more than once!
DateBK5 Gives that paper date book look to show one week's events. A lite version was included with the Treo 600 but vanished with the 650. I had to have it back.
DocumentsToGo For word docs, spread sheets, pdf files. A "must have" for business.
Chatter Mail Totally full-featured email application. Blows Versamail away, even better than Snapper Mail (which is pretty good too). I had instability problems with Versamail, even the new version that came with the latest firmware update.
Uninstall Manager A clean Treo is a happy Treo. Does a better job of removing programs and related files than other methods of uninstalling.
FileZ for managing and modifying files on your Treo and on the SD card.

Informative My must have....

I couldn't live without Today 2.3 (by Jonas Lindstedt) .... great software. Gives you a nice integrated view of your calendar, to do, and other customizable programs. Also a quick launcher that you can customize.

I've narrowed down my absolutely, could-not-live-without apps as:

QuickNews- excellent RSS reader which now has images
Agendus- I love the linking, icons and today screen
TurboPasswords- this program is not only indispensable on my Treo, but also on my desktop where it automatically inputs my user ids and passwords as needed on websites.
pTunes- My Treo is actually my only music device, and I can't see having it any other way.
Resco Photo Viewer- Loads pictures fast and has a neat and clean layout
PocketLingo Medical Dictionary- quick reference on the go.
Snapper- best and simplest email program I have used and I love it!
