Welcome to the palm OS world. Your best bet for software is to go browse www.palmgear.com and www.handango.com . There are many others but this are the two most reputable.

Can't suggest many games as I'm not much of a gamer kinda guy on my treo but can suggest some good utilities to improve on the treo platfrom:
Buttons-T, cellplantracker, treoalertmgr, kbtracker, markndial, powerjog. Just a few suggestions!

    Good Luck

I guess it depends on what your needs are... I too am not a big gamer. I think I've downloaded Yummi which is a pac man clone. As far as Palm app's go..I love PocketMoney by Catamount software. Perfect for managing your money. StockManger is great for tracking stocks.

I just ordered the Treo 300 and am also a newbie to the Palm world. I am neither a gamer or a techie, just an average user trying to add functionality to this device. My particular interest would be a word processor and spreadsheet program I could sync up with Office Word and Excel. I would also like a basic database application.

My concern is whether I can load all of these with only 16MB of memory and still have room for a couple of "fun" things....screen savers, ringers, etc. I also would like to know how the email works. I keep hearing that this is the one weakness of the Treo 300. Sorry in advance for what is probably a stupid question, but can I receive my home email on this device or would I have to set up a different email account through Sprint? Is so, is this extra or included in the Sprint service?

    Any help/suggestions/advice is appreciated. :D

    Shaun-
You might want to check out QuickOffice. It allows to you view, edit and create word, excel and powerpoint documents. Click here for more info

Email rocks on the Treo 300. You do not need to use Sprints email account. You can set up mulitple accounts using any of the available email app's. Click here for info on the available apps

Good luck w/ your new 300. Feel free to post any questions you may have in the Sprint Treo 300 forums
