woohooo!!! got my treo 750. All I can say is whoever gets one just needs to take the time and do the research on what to do and what to download.

Im using a Bluetooth headset with the phone because of wanting to listen to my music afterwards. The single ones dont offer stereo sounds so why bother with downloading music if you only got a single piece in your ear. I like the speaker phone as well in case you want to listen to the dialing and etc etc.

Cant wait to try out the proggies for putting 9 pics on the front for my speedial.

so much more to find...kind of like my little toy ..... ooo OO...oooooooooo ... 'Tim Allen"

Informative Newcomer

Hi, Im new to Treo as well. Im thinking of buying a Treo 680, because being a student I cant afford £400 for a Treo 750.
I was wondering (and this is probably a stupid question to all you regulars) whether anyone knows if, when I buy my Treo 680, it is open to any mobile network (ie: unlocked)?
Do bear in mind though that I live in the UK!
Im on Vodafone if it helps, and Ive trauled through loads of sites trying to find out.
Also Id like to know if anyone can tell me how 'upgradable' the 680 is? I mean applications, software and other stuff like Multimedia players and Browsers? If so please direct me!
Thanks for any help.

If you buy direct from Palm, it is unlocked! If you buy it from a carrier, even if you buy it outright, it will be locked to that carrier. I know here in the states, Cingular will unlock a phone if you have been under contract with them for 90 days. Not sure about other GSM carriers and their unlock policies.

As far as "upgradable". There is much out there! Some of it free. Multimedia players? Check out TCPMP here in the free software section. Also, Pocket tunes deluxe and Kinoma are pretty impressive. Browsers? Not much available other than the built in blazier. Currently the opera Mini won't run on the 680. At least it won't run on mine . . .
