Question Opera Mini for Treo 650

Looks like Opera Mini web browser is now available for the Treo 650 phone (exlcluding Verizon users):

    http://www.opera.com/products/mobile...pring_treo_650

Has anyone with a Sprint or Cingular Treo 650 tried this out yet? If so, what kind of feedback do you have as compared to Blazer?

Appears to have some known issues per the above URL.

    Thanks,
    Kurt

I don't do much web surfing with my Treo, but I too would be interested in any feedback regarding the Opera Mini.

I downloaded this, just this morning. I haven't used it enough to really offer a solid opinion. One thing I didn't like was having to download the IBM java VM as a separate download. It wasn't exactly clean in that, I put both apps on my SD card, and kept getting an error. I finally figured out for it to work properly, the IBM VM had to be installed on the Treo itself . . . It requires two files and both together are around 2 megs in size . . . Ouch . . . . Anyway, it seems fast and for now "Colorful". Don't know if this bright red outline is going to get old or not . . I figured I would test it for a few days and if I didn't like it, I can always delete it and go back to Blazier . . . It does seem to have some advantages over Blazier in that it recognizes RSS feeds and displays them quickly. But the trade off is that it takes a minimum of three files to run. Opera/IBM VM/ your language, and depending on the sites you access, could require more mini applets which will eat into your Palm's memory in a hurry. . . .

    Default Opera Mini

I installed Opera Mini last night as well. I use a Cingular Treo 650. It seems speedy and stable. I'm not sure how the memory hogging will work out. I do need to start using more java apps though. Only problem I've had so far - using MergicVPN to contact my company network, it won't see company http sites. pass through on to other external sites still works. 'Web' works fine like this. This seems odd... I've submitted this to the Opera site.

I'm confused. What URL do I enter for the midlet when installing IBM Java?
