Opinions on Password Keepers - Treo Forums

I'm looking for an easy-to-use password keeper/vault. If you use this type of app, could I get the name and your opinion on features, ease, price, etc.

I'm looking for something with a desktop front-end not just handheld based.

I think I've found your answer. SplashData is offering their SplashID for free - and it comes with a desktop companion. I've never used this particular app, but they have a reputation for solid applications. I have no doubt this is a good application.

It looks like the desktop companion software is a 30 day trial. Not sure how that affects your Palm app.

I use SplashID and think its an amazing app for free.....
I do not need the desktop version......I have all my info in my treo....

There are alot of features included in it and the ease of use is also amazing....

Takes no time at all to understand what to do...its self explanatory..

I ended up downloading this app because of your post. Thanks. This is definitely something I could use and the price was right.

At first you only have a few things you know you need to put in there but I have my Drivers License number, SS#, credit cards, bank cards, online site info, office and home alarm codes......

Very useful....unless of course you lose your treo.....

*moved us over to Applications - a little housekeeping*

I just spent about 30 minutes entering all of my membership #'s, Frequent Flyer numbers, bank accounts, etc. This program is going to be a lifesaver. I'm going to mention this in the next newsletter. It's because of programs like this that we have Treo's -- or vice versa -- I need more coffee.

Cool program. Free. And very useful.

You will come across other numbers that you think will be good to put in there.....
I thought I exhausted all the numbers I needed...
then I would be somewhere and find I needed another number.....

I downloaded it today as well. Thanks for the input. If you're like me, you have about a hundred various software passwords and registration codes, computer logons, online storefront sign-ins. I have lots of password protected Excel files at work.

At the moment, I have everything on a password protected Excel spreadsheet, but Documents to Go won't let me a password protected file.

See what you started. I emptied my wallet today and was frantically copying frequent flyer, credit card, Costco memberships into Splash ID. I didn't even know my life had so many numbers.

You can even make a custom number -- which I used for the TomTom activation should I need yet again.
