Outlook thinks it's synching, but isn't.
I just got a new home computer where I am using Windows Vista with Outlook 2003. I just installed Palm Desktop 6.2. When I try to hotsync my Treo 700p, I don't get any error messages, yet none of the changed data from the desktop is moved to the handheld, nor is the handheld changes moved to the desktop. I have tried Handheld overwrites and sync both and desktop overwrites, etc. None work, yet I watch the sync progress bar and it acts like all is going fine. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I do sync both at home and at work. Prior to getting the new home computer, I was using Windows XP with Outlook 2000 on both machines, and Palm Desktop Software 4.1.4. This is still what I am using at work. Prior to getting the new computer, my hotsync settings were on "Synchronize All Files" on both desktops and I never had a problem with info updating regardless of where the change had been made.

Did you check to see if your data is being synced to Palm Desktop?

I knew that would be the first question. HA! I should have mentioned, no. It is set to sync with Outlook, and it is not appearing on the desktop. It's so weird. I even uninstalled and reinstalled everything, and still no good.

And here are the second through fifth questions.....
When you installed the desktop and sync manager, was it an upgrade or a clean install? Was the Vista install clean or an upgrade?
Are you logged on to your computer as a user or an admin? Not sure if this would make a difference and if it does I would guess the problem would be during the desktop install and not the sync. Not sure though....
Finally (this time), could the device have wireless sync enabled?

Oh, and is your Vista 32 bit or 64 bit?
