Palm Media Studio Sound Quality???

I just bought Pam Media Studio to watch my music videos, family videos (for Grammy to watch my daughters), and small motorcycle racing videos. I can view these files on my PC and hear them well with excellent quality sound. However, once I upload them to the Treo, the sound quality is gone. It sounds tinny and I can barely make out words. Songs sound great through Real Player, but the videos sound bad whether through the speaker or the earbud. Any thoughts as to what I can do to increase sound quality? I already emailed support from the application author.
