| PDANet Ok, I don't get it... I'm looking at PDANet and seeing how much everyone loves it and gives it five stars...
Other than the fact that it works over USB instead of (or is in addition to?) bluetooth, how is this different than DUN? |

| I purchased the cable, purchased the software and cant get it to work. It also messed up my activesync. I think it is terrible, and I have waisted about $50. I also cant get any emails on my phone now. |

| Also some people find it easier to use than configuring the DUN to work on their own,but agreed its my understanding the original reason is that the carriers had disabled DUN so this was a workaround.I've done both and since I have the software I use it more often to tether than configuring to access the internet without PDA Net.I use it with BT,since I try to minimize the cables I carry. |

| In short, unless you are very fimiliar with these applications, DO NOT spend the money on PDAnet. It is junk. I still cant get mine to work after about 3 hours, and it messed up my activesync. I did get that fixed, but the application never worked. Save your money. |

Save your money. | My experience leads me to totally disagree with your statements. I installed PDAnet, hooked my hotsync cable to it, and it worked! Didn't mess up nothing else either. My current laptop is not bluetooth enabled and that might be the difference. I know that I have used it several times since January when wireless isn't available! Personally, I have found it worth the money, and have had none of your headaches . .

| I agree with Stillrockin'. K9gunner, do you have a 650 or 700? There have been some issues with the 700. I haven't used it since upgrading to the 700, but I used it a lot with my 650. I had no problems with the cable or bluetooth. Really helped when I was in a hotel for 6 weeks with the slowest "high-speed" internet on the planet.

| I am getting ready to take an annual mountain biking trip. I am looking forward to sending pics and videos back home to buddies who couldn't make the trip, and doing all of this right from the campsite using my laptop and my Treo
