| Pocket-Tunes slow transfer My problem:
Transfering the Rhapsody To-Go tracks to my Treo takes forever! We're talking 2 minutes per song! Does anyone with a similar setup as me have better luck? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to speed things up?
My setup: - Treo 700p with Verizon
- 4gb expansion card
- Pocket-Tunes 4.0
- Rhapsody To-Go
Thanks!

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to speed things up? | Welcome to ET.com, JonnyM. One thing slowing you down could be the write speed on your 4gig card. What brand is it? People have had more success with some 4gig cards than others.
FWIW, I don't sync any of my media to get it on my card. I use a card reader. If your computer didn't come with a built-in one, you can find them for as low as $5 or $10 these days. Another option would be an app called Card Export II, which allows your Treo to be seen by your computer as an external drive.

| I'm using a Transcend 4gb 150x. Anyone know a good site that has done speed comparisons on 4gb SD cards using the 700p? (A very specific request, I know!)
I'm not sure if you can use subscription music files if you just drag them onto the card. Pocket Tunes' site says you must sync using either Windows Media Player or Rhapsody but I'm not sure what the difference is. I'll try a card reader and see if it works.
Thanks! |

(A very specific request, I know!) | That's actually the 4gb card about which I've heard the most good things. I saw some things about comparisons a few months ago, when the 700p first came out, but can't quite remember where. A google search will probably turn up something for you to check out. Quote:

I don't use any subscription files, I just convert my cd's to mp3, then play them in pTunes. Maybe someone else who uses the subscription services can jump in here.

| I'm having the same problem using Musicmatch and Ptunes. According the the Ptunes documentation, you can't use a card reader to transfer protected songs. So I have been plugging the treo into the cable and having Musicmatch recognize the device the way I do my MP3 player. It is so slow...each song takes a few minutes each. I wish it was more simple like dragging it onto an SD card. Quote:
