I just received an update from Will Lau regarding new features

Upcoming features... SURE! We're about to release version 1.4 (next week) which is a big jump for Treo guys since it has Automatic Periodic Fetching. You can configure frequency to the nearest minute, any time of the day, any days of the week, the type of alarm to sound with, and a vibrate - also an auto disconnect if you want.

Manual fetching prefs will include, auto disconnect, and configuring of an alarm - again for those people who want to start a download, put the Treo in their pocket, and be buzzed if they get mail.

We've also pack in even better Treo Jog and Keyboard support. You now no longer even have to hit shortcut strokes before activating the menu commands. Just hit "o" instead of "/o" for example.
