Uninstall Manager
I read from benjie that Uninstall Manager was a great program to keep the Treo more stable...I get a re-set from time to time after exiting Blazer or Agendus...at least one a day. I'm just wondering...how in the heck does the program work? Does it work as zLauncher does? zLauncher will allow you to file manage and delete programs...what more does Uninstall Manager do? What is the "sandbox?" Does it only monitor the programs that you install AFTER you install Uninstall Manager? Thanks for your help in advance! I'd LOVE to get it to stop resetting...even though it's something that I will live with if I must. (I have to reset the Treo for bluetooth to work correctly with my headset every once in awhile anyway.)

ZLauncher's ability to handle multiple creator IDs is very good and it also handles getting those data files that are created by applications. Uninstall Manger actually monitors files when the installation process is being done - and it gets EVERYTHING. As for Sandbox - what it does is keeps the application in the "sandbox" contained, so that you can delete it without worrying about it affecting the stability of your device - preferences, et cetera.
As for stability, take a look at handling the db cache and locking those applications that seem not to behave properly. Preference Doctor by www.hobbyistsoftware.com does a good job with reducing lost preferences and it has an option to clear the db cache when the free memory hits a user defined level. This is probably where you are having most of your problems. For the programs that cause your device to reset, take a look at Resco Lock - rLock.
