When max # records reached on Calendar - help! it's all deleted
Hi everyone,
I have a problem with my PalmOne 4.1.4 Calendar + Treo650. I have been using the Calendar application for 2 years and have acquired at least 4000 records, and never thought to archive them or back up. At the last Hotsync, I unknowingly hit the limit, and received a generic Hotsync error message to "check the log". I didn't check what it was, and Hotsync'ed again. Then, the program deleted all the records I had inputted prior to that last hotsync (thus losing me 2 years of scheduling and associated notes).
The calendar is now completely blank, for both the desktop and Treo650. Is there any way to retrieve the calendar data lost before that last HotSync?
By the way, the following Hotsync Log message was the culprit:
...
OK Media
-- Calendar
- Some handheld records were not copied to your PC. Your computer may be full or you may have reached the maximum allowed records on the desktop. To correct this situation, delete some records and perform a HotSync operation again.
Desktop = 4145, Handheld = 4143
OK Calendar with 1 message(s)
OK Contacts
...
So I didn't know I had to delete the extra records and thus lost the records from both the desktop and the Treo simultaneously. The archive files only had the records I had manually deleted over the years and didn't have any records that I would have wanted to keep.
Regarding getting those lost records back - any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
