Windows media install problem

I have followed the directions on the palm quick install for win media. On the windows site I selected media for XP and downloaded to my computer. I then dropped all the media files in the quick install. The ext reads no application on your device.

The other programs message on the go and the games installed without a hitch. What am I doing wrong??

The phone support (sprint) said to download a different Video player that the windows player was for the computer and not the palm. (at least the free version) I installed the player brand core pocket player

but does not play the file I had downloaded. Is there a player that plays all types of media files?
