| ZLauncher / Vista Home Premium ZLauncher and Windows Vista Home Premium - though probably not a Vista problem. I recently purchased a laptop and am in the latter stages of getting most everything working with it. This morning I got the card reader working and was feeling brave. Feeling brave is stupid at times.
On the card resides (not any more) a 13mb backup sitting by its lonesome self. I decided to delete the file via the built in card reader. Done. Wow. I then removed the card and inserted the card back into the Treo 700p. I then brought up ZLauncher and gosh, the card tabs were no longer available; they had been zapped. Not good. I was about to see the folders and files, just no tabs.
I executed a hard reset and installed last night's backup and now everything is working well. A reminder then to all, play but be careful. If I had not had a current backup, I would not be a happy camper this morning.
Ben

| Sure, not a problem at all. I downloaded the Palm desktop from the Palm site. The installation went just fine and I was able to sync with the cable and Bluetooth with no problem. This was the first time a cable had been used to sync my 700p. I read about problems people were having installing applications with QuickInstall, so I used Pilot Install.
Bottom line - no problem at all. My setup: Acer 9410, Windows Vista Home Premium, Treo 700p, Bluetooth.

| Yes it does. I have all of the hardware working that connects directly to the device; however, remote printing is still a problem due to driver incompatibility. Ben

| After using Vista for a few weeks i have found that you can update your contacts,to do's, ect... but you can't install any new software thru hot sync.
I have been installing all apps thru the SD card (via card reader) and installing the apps thu the card. Works ok, But hope palm catches up.

| You can use Pilot Install - it works well and excels with Bluetooth. The link is http://envicon.de/e/pinstall/pinstall.html. I look at the compatibility issues more the problem of the 3rd party world and not Microsoft. Vista has been available to them for a long, long, long time. Ben

| I downloaded pilot install and found the program wouldn't work. I then tried my hot sync and it wouldn't work at all. I deleted pilot and did a reset on the treo and the hot sync started working again.
Any suggestions, I'd love to use this app.
Thanks,
