To me as long as I have a headset that has an earbud to go in your ear, I'm good. I have the Plantronics Voyager 510 headset right now and I love it. I can hear clearly and haven't had any complaints on the other end. I tried the Motorola's that just hang over your ear and they suck.

I have a 650 with Sprint and I have been using a Plantronics Discovery 640 and I have been very happy. Note that I only use it in the car and it is the only Bluetooth headset I have ever used so I don't have anything to compare it to.

I originally bought it after using my first 650 with a wired headset and it ruined the headphone jack. I didn't want to have a problem with the new phone so I figured I should try Bluetooth. It has been very good...

The Plantronics package included everything I could want. I especially liked the little charging unit I can use with a AAA battery for when I am not near a power outlet. Even with the three or four sized earpieces it came with I still have to use the ear clip though. I felt like it would fall out without the clip, but that is me.

    Your mileage may vary........

I first tried the Jabra BT350. It felt like it was going to fall off every time I turned my head, and I couldn't hear that well with it, I took it back.

I tried the Jabra BT500, sounds great, never disconnects, but it doesn't do well in even the slightest breeze.

Currently evaluating the Plantronics Voyager 510. It's much better with the noise cancellation, but disconnects on a regular basis. It is not a supported device on Palm's website and the Treo 700P is not a supported device on Plantronics' website, so I can't really complain. I will most likely return it and hope the 700P update fixes the problem.

    Smile Went with Plantronics

After a year with my Treo 650, I finally decided to get into its Bluetooth capabilities and buy a BT Headset last month. Beforehand, I researched, I read reviews until I was BLUE!

My initial purchase was a Jabra BT135 for around $40. It was ok...nothing great and definitely uncomfortable after a couple of hours on the ear. The volume was turned up to the highest setting and I still couldn't hear callers very well. So...I then purchased an in-ear headset...the Plantronics Discovery 610 and what a world of difference! Great sound, volume is very good, extremely comfortable and very light weight. I know there are others that don't use the ear hook but I like the ear hook..and it allows me to wear my eyeglasses comfortably with it. Pairing it was a snap...just wish that Treo had better Bluetooth capabilities. My wish is that they come out with a Bluetooth 2.0 model or even a Bluetooth 1.2 and maybe that will improve the weak BT connection. Or it someone invents a way to upgrade the Treo 650 Bluetooth via a software fix, they will be my new idol!!!

I returned my Jabra BT135 back to the Verizon store and upgraded to the Plantronics 610 for just $20 more. Verizon has a 15 day return policy so you are not committed to your purchase if you find that it doesn't do the job!

But so far...so good...Plantronics has impressed me!
