Bluetooth and Seidio G2500 Cradle I just got my Plantronics 640 Bluetooth headset, and I cannot get it to work with my Seidio G2500 GPS Cradle. Whenever I place the Treo 650 into the cradle, I experience the following problems:
1) Cannot Initiate a call using the headset
2) Cannot Pick up an incoming call via the headset
3) Cannot pick up an incoming call via the Treo but use the headset to speak/listen on the call.
This makes the GPS cradle completely obsolete as I purchased it in order to keep the PDA screen in view for reading it while at stop lights/parked and to hold the PDA while I used the headset for phone calls. The GPS feature I could care less about, though it does work well for a charger( a $130 charger, at that ).
Is there a way to make these two devices play well together? If not, there is another PDA holder/charger I have seen that holds the Treo by the sides and has a separate charging wire that hooks into the Treo. I'd hate to have to buy another ( my 3rd ) car kit, but I do want to conveniently and safely use my Treo in my car.
Btw, the Seidio cradle does have a build in speaker, but not a built-in microphone, so I can hear the person on the other line, but they cannot hear me. Seidio expects the user to hook a microphone cable up everytime they get in the car in order to be able to speak, which, in my opinion, is just plain silly.
So, en sum, if someone has an idea on how to resolve this issue I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank You,
