Bluetooth Compatability
Ok, so I have my car that is Bluetooth enabled, I wait two months for Verizon to come out with the 650 and now it appears that the phone and car won't recognize each other because of something called "HandsFreeLink Wireless Telephone Interface" which apparently every other Bluetooth enabled phone in the world has EXCEPT the Treo 650. Anybody else have this problem or any info?

Palm has release an update dealing with handsfree car kits. I dont know if this will fix your particular problem or not but its probably worth a look.

Hear are a list of cars that are supported with the Treo 650:
Acura
Audi
Chrysler
Dodge
Ford
Honda
Jeep
Linkcon
Mercury
As noted above, check out the PalmOne update and let us know how you make out. What type of car do you own?

Bluetooth Compatability
Thanks ajerion and Chris . . . I posted that note after the Acura site (I have a new RL - which is absolutely amazing) stated that no Palm OS phones are compatible with their hands free system. Since then, I've searched the Palm and other sites and now have information that they are compatible and have instructions on how to link them. . . . now all I have to do is figure out how to get the car back from my daughter!

Handsfreelink Questions
I have a 2005 Acura TL - and love it. The 650 (Verizon enabled) sync worked right out of the box and performs well with Caller ID, etc. Two questions: (1) I don't get the signal strength nor battery level indicators on the dash. Any ideas? (2) When receiving an incoming call, the 650 rings as well as the speaker system. Is it suppose to do this?

Have you tried installing the PalmOne Car Kit Update for Treo 650?
After installing the update, you can enjoy the convenience of handsfree calling from your car:- Observe the carrier name and signal strength in the car kit*.
- Incoming calls will ring in the car. In some car kits*, you can also see the caller ID for the incoming call.
- Answer or reject the incoming call with the car kit. Whether you answer the call from the car kit or Treo 650, the call audio is automatically transferred to the car.
- Transfer your Treo 650 Speed Dials to the car kit phone book*. To learn how to assign speed dials, refer to your Treo 650 documentation.
- View the call log of last dialed, missed or received calls in the car kit*.
- Initiate outgoing calls from the car by dialing the number from the car kit phone book, or from the list of missed, received or previously placed calls*. The call audio is automatically transferred to the car.
- Swap calls to manage multiple calls*.

Verizon Service
This update is for Sprint and Cincular but there is nothing for Verizon. Any idea what I do?
