Favorite Bluetooth Headset - What works?

I have tried two motorola headsets (HS850 and H700), a Jabra JX-10 and BT500, and the treo bluetooth headset. I have determined I need in the ear due to my poor hearing (alot of loud environments). The problem is that none of the above have had good outgoing sound for the recipient on the other line. The next one I may try is the Plantronics 640. It seems to vary from phone to phone, but I use cingular. Any suggestions.

I heard that the Ericsson HBH-662 is a good headset, it isn't an earbud though.

    Default Plantronics

I just wanted to let everyone know that I started using a plantronics 510 and for the first week, it has worked by far better than any other. Its comfortable and great volume. It looks bulky and heavy, but trust me it is not.

Hi Golyth, I'm using a plantronics 510 with my treo 650 aswell. Do you find that the headset is laggy to respond to the phone?
What I mean is, when I have an incoming call my headset doesn't pick up until the 3rd ring. Similarly when making a call, the headset doesn't turn on until about 10 seconds into the call

I have noticed this same issue with several different headsets. It takes 8 to 10 seconds for the BT Headset to realize the phone has been answered. I think it to be a problem more on the Treo 650 than with the individual headsets.

    Default Plantronics

I found that if you wait for the phone to ring on the headset, the connection is much faster. There is otherwise a long lag time for it to connect. I figure its one con compared to having a headset that finally works.

oh yes if I wait for the headset to ring, it answers as soon as I push the headset button. But the phone usually rings 2-3 times before the headset rings

    Default Plantronics 640

I decided to try the plantronics 640. The trade off is that there is a shorter talk time without the use of a aaa battery. The pros is that it is actually alot more comfortable when you get used to putting it in your ear and it is actually a better sound. I guess price makes a bit of a difference.
I also noticed that if I wear the phone on the same side (on the belt) that the ear piece is on, it is alot better on the clarity. I wish I knew why since I prefer wearing the phone on my left side, but my left ear is not that good (I need to use my right ear).

I made the stupid mistake of buying the Motorola H605(the banana with the blue tip ;).

This Plantronics 640 sounds very good to me after using the piece of motorola garbage.
Will this work with the 700? I have a horrible time with the Motorola and pairing..everytime I shut the headset off(to save battery), I have to pair all over again. and the person on the other line can NEVER hear my voice(it sounds like I'm talking through a blanket).

Will this 640 work(well) with my 700?? If so, I'm going to purchase in the next 2 minutes
