Default Bluetooth sync to a computer

Hello all, I'm back from exile...

I just got a new dell 6000 computer with bluetooth, and would love to use that to sync with the oh-so-great Treo, but can't seem to make it work. Has anyone else been able to sync with a PC through bluetooth? Please help, I'm sorry I've been away, don't take it out on me...

Welcome back kotter (or, in your case, Clayton)!
First step is to pair the PC with the Treo. Actually, on the Treo bluetooth screen there is a step-by-step guide to walk you through setting up a pc for hotsync. Its under Prefs-Bluetooth-Set up devices.

I've tried to walk through that step by step, but my problem is that I can't figure out how to create a virtual serial port on my computer. That's where I'm looking for the most help, I think.

Depending on your PC and OS, you should be able to find it under Control Panel- Bluetooth. There, one of the windows should indicate your bluetooth ports.
