bluetooth won't stay on

I've had 3 different bluetooth headsets.... the latest one is one of the most state of the art and I still have problems with the bluetooth not staying coupled or being ready to make or take a phone call. Although i love my treo I have to think it's the TREO's problem not the headsets. I spend more time reseting, clicking boxes, refreshing, soft re-initializing than i do making phone calls. My friends phones don't do this.

I just picked up the blueant z7 about a month ago, I haven't had any problems at all. Matter of fact, I've never had any issues with them not staying on.. or coming back after I walk away out of range of the phone.... The one common denominator I see here, is that we are talking about mostly windows os... I believe.
