    Default Compatability list

Is there a list put out by Palm on any official compatable headsets other than the Treo branded one? I am having a very difficult time finding a good one. Getting horrible static about a foot away from the headset.

Welcome to bluetooth on a Treo! Sorry, I hate to be negative, but browse this section and see all the issues people have trying to find a suitable HS with a Treo. Its a nightmare! I can add to it. I bought my wife a Moto H 500. For kicks I paired it with my 650 . . . . Terrible! Just got a 680 and I can walk around up to about 12 feet with no static whatsoever! I would suggest going to a place where several are displayed. Have a friend on standby and pair up several. More $$ isn't necessarily the answer on this one . . Its like finding a mate . . . Its hit or miss . . . Sorry, but Treos and BlueTooth get me a little frustrated. Thanks for letting me vent!

Here's a list put out by Palm, although what SR says about hit-and-miss is dead on.

Agreed. Palm's list isn't kept up-to-date very well, either.

    I would vote for Tekkeon.
I have NO experience with any headset, let alone bluetooth, but tekkeon and my 700W from Verizon are complety trouble free, Well, the headset anyway.

No static, no drops just clear communication as I wander about a large steel hanger, lie on my back under airplanes, climb on ladders, etc.

It is amazing that the list from palm goes my carriers. It would seem that a headset with sprint would work just as well with cingular. Maybe the Cingular guys have bigger heads.
