connect to BT to access internet?

So I just spent like an hour on the phone with a Tech from Palm who was really nice and tried to walk me thru the setup, but we didn't get anywhere. It keeps saying authentication failed. The only option is to call D-Link again, but man that was a nightmare. Maybe there is a better USB BT Dongle so I don't have to deal with this? This was is supposed to work. It's totally a setup issue, but I cannot figure it out.

I hope this may help people who went thru or may go thru what I just did. I wanted to hotsync with bluetooth. I got a D-Link USB BT Adappter DBT 120 like the Palm site said was compatible. I loaded the D-Link software, plugged in the adapter and could not get it to hotsync. I spent hours on the phone with D-Link and Palm and NOTHING. Today my friend told me to uninstall the D-Link software and just plug in the adapter. I did that and my XP Pro took over and installed the Windows Bluetooth stack. Then I paired my Treo and my PC and set up a COM with the Treo initiating the connection. I then went into my hotsync icon on my PC, and made sure Local was checked. Then I went into settings and under local made sure the COM I had set up was selected. I tried using "connect as fast as possible" and that did not work so I tried the next one down which is 115200. It worked!!! It was sweet and went very quickly with no problems!!! I can't believe how east this was and how hard it was when I had no correct information!!! I hope this helps someone cuz what I just experienced sucked!!!
