| I'm in the market for a BT headset myself, after my gf's dog got ahold of my Jabra 150. The headsets I've been reading the most consistent good reviews about are the Jabra JX-10, Sony HBH-660, and Treo Headset. I've also read good reviews for Sony's HBH-300, but it doesn't support auto-link, which is a deal breaker for me.
The JX-10 looks very good, I'm just not sure I'm ready to drop that kind of cash for a headset. I may end up going with the Treo headset, the ability to use the Treo charger is a plus.

| I had been looking at the Motorola H605. It just looks more comfortable than anyhting else I have found. Like the Jabra set you mentioned though, it is a bit pricey, especially since we are in the market for two headsets.
I have to admit I am still pretty green on the subject so I have to ask...what is auto-link? |

| Here is a pic of the H605...it almost looks like leather on the part that comes in contact with your ear...
Edit: Replaced pic with a smaller version.

That's been getting pretty good reviews, and is decently priced. As for the Motorola H605, I'm not a big fan of that "banana" form factor. Quote: |

| Auto-link is when a call is automatically transferred to the headset. I don't want to have to answer the call on the Treo, then tap a button on the headset to transfer.

| Keeping on the BT side-topic (Chris if you are really bored and see this, this might be a good thread to split):
I actually prefer the behind the ear option...and just totally bombed on the Jabra BT250v Not only does it takes like 4 full seconds to auto-link but the sound quality is horrible while sitting 2 feet from me on the same side that I wear it on. My bottom of the line Plantronics Explorer 320 beats it hands down in sound quality.
If this is par for the course, I may have to start trying these out from a place with no restockign fee like Circuit City... |

The over-the-ear type doesn't seem very secure to me, and I don't like in-ear models (same with headsets for music, I don't like the way they shut out external sound). I realize some people would consider that a plus, but I prefer to be able to hear external sound, especially if I'm listening to music at my desk, for example.
I ended up ordering a Scala 500 (from the ET store, where else?) and received it last night. I may ask Chris if he would be interested in a review. The pairing was quick and painless, and the sound has been decent so far.

| How about comfort, Jeff? That is the only reason I am looking for something else. I have a long commute and this 320 is killing me... |

Basically, I tend to like headsets with a well-designed ear hook (not rigid plastic, and bendable), and an earpiece that sits in my ear but not in my ear canal, if that makes sense.
That H605 looks like it would be uncomfortable after a while. It seems like the part that folds over your ear lobe would start to rub.

| Jeff, I ended up keeping the Motorola HS850. It's the first Motorola product I have owned since my StarTAC years ago. I am pretty happy with it |

I'd still be using it if not for the blue light blinking. With my job, if I wear my headset at night, I can't have something lit up. Aside from that, the pairing went fine, picking up of calls was quick and sound quality was pretty good.
Went to the HBH-662 for my current headset.
