Default Distorted Audio - not static

I just purchased my Treo about 3 weeks ago. I had a Plantronics bluetooth HS for a week and it worked very well...then I lost it on a business trip.

I bought a second identical HS to replace it, and the audio was distorted (sounded like a blown speaker). No matter how loud or soft the volume was the results were the same. It's not a static issue, it's true distortion in the audio. So I returned it thinking it was a problem with the HS.

I now have my third HS, which I just tried last night, and I am having the exact same problem. Is the problem with the Treo rather than the HS? Any idea as to what's going on here?

    Many thanks!

Did you ever resolve the issue? I am having the same problem with my Jawbone on a 700w
