Default Has anyone experienced these Bluetooth Headsets?

    Hello everyone!

Has anyone experienced these yet with thier 650?

    Plantronics M2500 or M3500

    Jabra BT800 or BT250/250V

I really like the style of the BT250 and M2500 as far as comfort. Looking for feedback and personal thoughts.

    Successfully yours,

    George

We tried two different bluetooth headsets

    both where less than acceptable

    reception was not clear

I find it easier, clearer, and cheaper to use the speakerphone

In the car I can lay my treo on the passenger seat and have a clear conversation with the speaker phone

that's what i would like to be able to do, but is there a way to also have the treo auto answer the call (to basically make it hands free)

I have no problem using the speaker phone so this would be a great solution. My last phone had a driving mode that announced the call and asked if you want to take it. Very nice feature. THat's really all i regret about getting a treo.

    Default Jabra BT250

BT250 is okay. Slight interference if you leave the 650 in your cargo pants pocket, depending on the material. You should get more than the rated thirty feet out of it, even through walls.

If the Jabra is turned on and the 650 rings, and you answer, the headset will remain disengaged until you push the button on the headset. (Contrasted with that, my Motorola earpiece kicks in automatically.) I stopped using the Jabra when I pressed the button too hard, and it wouldn't release. This was fatal, since all the Jabra controls are accessed by clicking, short clicks, long clicks, etc.

A couple days after I bought a replacement, through the scientific method of poking, pulling, twisting & knocking against a hard surface a couple times, I got the Jabra to work again. Now I have two. They're like ninety-dollar ball-point pens, I suppose.

    Default Jabra 250

I use the Jabra 250. It isn't able to do as much on the Treo 650 as it could do with another phone I have (I can't voice dial through it), but I like the fit, comfort and sound I get from it. When you get a call, you can answer through the headset but it doesn't automatically go into the headset.

Has anyone figured out how to voicedial through the Jabra 250 using the Treo 650?

I just bought the Jabra BT250 and BT250v last night (I have 2 650s) as I found out after the fact that my old cheap Motorola BlueTooth headsets weren't on the list of approved devices.

Well, now I can't get either of these 2 work. The phones won't find them. Yippee! It's back to Verizon again.

In reading through the stuff from Jabra, there sure seem to indicate that they should work with voice dialing.

Do you have other bluetooth accessories?

I was confused by something similar, and came to find out the 650 has a single bluetooth resource that is "grabbed" by one application or another, much like an old serial port. I discovered this the hard way the first time I got a bluetooth device that wouldn't let go until it was explicitly told to, a ThinkOutside bluetooth keyboard.

It's confusing as all dickens because it looks like a problem with the other device, when it's really not -- as far as your Jabra headset is concerned, there is no bluetooth signal to answer. I do a bluetooth hotsync, the hotsync completes, the Jabra still works. I talk on the Jabra, hang up, the hotsync still works. I use the bluetooth keyboard, stop, forget to disconnect the device, and suddenly no other bluetooth devices work. The earpiece sits there like a dumb bump on a log. Hotsync is history.

Took me forever to figure this out the first time.

Check it out...what you described is completely consistent with my experience.

I literally just got off the phone with the nice Verizon person who sold me the headsets last night.

    USER ERROR :o :o

I wasn't holding the botton down long enough to get the solid blue light. Now, I've gotten it to find the headset, I haven't been able to make a call yet. I'll try that next.

The 650 does not support BT voice dialing.
