upon further review, i decided not to enable the automatic answer to the BT250. to do so would presume it's constantly attached to my ear. if it's not, i need to reach for it and meanwhile, someone on the other end is saying hello....

I agree with the auto answer, not a huge fan of it myself, especially if doesn't seem to react properly when rejecting calls. On the other hand after using both the SE and the Plantronics i must give the plantronics high marks for supporting most of the calling features. it works surprisingly well given the brief delay to pick up the call which is bearable. the SE distance is okay but can't go as far as the Plantronics 510 and the speed is nice but functionality is also important. How does the 660 compare in size to the 610? Is it much bigger and heavier? When will SE support redial???

Actually the 660 is lighter than the 610 and a little bit wider. The SE itself does support redial. I've never bothered to try it though.

I have a BT250v and Rogers Treo. I am having the same issue as Rani - not being able to answer calls using the BT. I will be trying the auto answer and see how that works - did not know about that feature.

    1. When the BT250v is on and in standby mode, it automatically turns on my Treo. When I turn the Treo off, wait less than a minute, the Treo turns on again. When I turn the BT250 off, the Treo does not automatically turn on. It even overrides the keyguard. This started today? I have only had the BT less than a week. Has this happened to anyone else?

    2. When I activated the auto answer, I see the option to voice tag my speed dial favourites. Is this feature available on the BT 250? It doesn't mention this feature in the user manual

Actually yeah number 2 happened to me too, it for some reason keeps engaging bluetooth on its own. It's really weird. I'm returning my 250v and just getting some other accessories for the treo like a spare battery, cradle, car charger etc... and just hold off until my company decides to carry a decent headset for it.

I have never had the exact issue when using my BT 250v. Though, if my T650 is already on and I power up the BT 250v, the BT does engage the phone and skip right over the keyguard. But, this only happens that one time. It does not keep turning on the T650 on. This sounds very strange to me as I have not had it occur with my BT 250v.

As for the voice tag feature, this is something the BT 250v can not do by itself. This would take some voice recognition software installed onto the T650, not sure of what the name is, but I am sure it could be purchased through the ET store.

Too bad both you and Rani have ran into this issue.

I hope your T650 is working well though. This is one great piece of equipment. And, I can only wonder how much better the next Palm OS version will be (and I'm sure there will be some trade-offs as well).
