Memory Card Problems - Treo Forums

Hi, I have a question about memory cards and treo. I placed a new 2GB card in the slot and when I go to card info it's telling me that there in no card inserted. Can anyone tell me if I am doing something wrong I checked the direction and everything seems to be fine. Is there somehting else I need to check for the treo to recognize this card.

I just bought the 755p yesterday and had had the same memory card error. I got it to work last night, but this morning when I tried to save minitones to the memory card, it said there was not card. I reinserted the card and it sees it again, but I'm wondering if this is a known issue. Anybody? Suggestions are welcome!

Are these name brand cards purchased from legitimate dealers? There are many counterfeit cards out there that are branded as SanDisk as well as others. A while ago Best Buy had acknowledged they unknowingly wound up with counterfeits from some suppliers.

Have you tried the cards in a reader or in another Treo to see if they are recognized? Also, have they been formatted on the Treo or in a PC reader?

I also wonder if there may be a problem reading the newer super fast cards. Maybe the Treo can't use the extra fast features.

I purchased mine at Radio shack- it's a micro that slips into the mini adapter, so I thought maybe that was the problem. It seems to be working ok now, though. I watch it... the device saw it last night, but didn't see it this morning... it took it out and reinserted it and so far so good... Good thought on the super fast card, though... something to keep in mind.

I had the same problem with my 650, however, with my 755... no problems at all.

I'm going to take it back to the shack and try it again. Second Treo (had to swap out the first one due to some random, buggy behavior) and the card didn't work right in either one. Hmmm... I appreciate your comments and will let you know if I continue to have issues, because at that point I will need some emotional support. ;-)

I picked mine up at the Sprint store, realize it's a bit more expensive, however, I thought if there were to be a problem with it working, they would be there to fix it right away...
