motorola bt820 w/ motorola cellphone and treo 650

There are days that my headset works perfect w/ both devices but.... somedays its loses connection several times on the same day and have to resynch the two(device and headset).So, I have two questions
1) Why?
2)How can I fix this problem?

I believe, not the song, that it is related more to the headset than the device. I have had bunches of headsets and found two in particular never lost connection and one in particular never kept connection. I have the 820 and it was not really great about maintaining the connection. The current headset I am using, a BlueAnt, rarely looses connection.
