Flip the boom but it doesn't turn on
My Motorola H700 works great except that when I flip the boom mic I have to press the call button to turn it on. Is there a way that it can turn on automatically as it promised. I have a Treo 650.
However, this BT headset is wonderful. People can hear me and the volume is nice and loud and the piece itself is light and comfortable.

Auto Answering!!! PLEASE HELP!
Hello everyone,
I own a Treo 650 and two Motorola Bluetooth earpieces. They are the H700 and the H550. Here's my problem.
1. On my Treo 650, I have the auto-answering function [B]disabled[B]. But for SOME reason. When I have either of my earpieces connected, the phone will answer after the second ring. The Cingular store reps that sold me each of my earpieces said that they don't understand why it does that. I also have a Treo 700wx from Sprint (my work phone). It works fine with either of them. So, it's GOT to be the Treo 650, and the Milk Duds at Cingular won't refund the money for the Bluetooths.
I hope that it's a patch kinda thing that I can download to make it STOP answering the phone!
Can someone help me?
Thanks so much...

I posted in the 650 forum but just remembered another way that may help you. After uninstalling (removing) the device reinstall as a car kit. Some users stated that this cured the evil auto answer bluetooth woes.

Thanks so much... this works!!!!
I did the thing egelwan said to do and it worked! I tried the manuals and everything else I could think of. His way was simple and right...

I have an H700 (as well as several other Bluetooth headsets) which I use with a Treo 700p. It works flawlessly, sound quality is good, and it is comfortable and convenient.
To answer the earlier question in this thread -- if you did not get a charger with yours, you can use a USB-to-mini-USB cable and charge it directly from a USB port on your computer.
Here's how to put it into pairing mode, which it will do automatically if it is new/unpaired but which you have to do manually if it has ever been paired before:
1. charge fully, unplug from charging source
2. fold boom IN to turn power off if it is on
3. press talk button (with power off) until LED glows steady purple
4. while light is still purple, release talk button and fold boom out to turn power on
5. If you have done this successfully, the purple light stays on and you are in pairing mode.
6. The passcode is 0000 (as it is for every other Bluetooth headset!).

I have an H700 paired with my 700WX. I gotta say I'm very disappointed with it. I've always had Motorola phones along with the Motorola headsets with excellent results. I get tons of static with the H700 and my wx. Don't know what the problem is, but I'm looking for a good replacement.

DavidZC: I don't know if you are aware: the 700wx has an firmware update out that addressed the noise/sound issues on the bluetooth setups. Download it, hopefully it will help you.

Are you talking about the 1.15 update from Palm for Sprint? I downloaded and installed it last night successfully, but it did not fix the issue.
