Default Oakley Razrwire

Anyone tinkered with the Oakley RAZRWIRE & a Treo yet?

I have a 650, and Oakley is hooking me up with a free of these to toy with... am excited to get them working and was just wondering if anyone had any known gotchyas I should be aware of (so I can make them work right away instead of having to wait several whole minutes to get them working )

And in case I'm speaking nonsense to you:

From what I have read so far, Motorola BT headsets don't seem to work, or work very well with the 650. The Razrwire is a Moto HS.

Hmm, what does one get when they combine a $50 BT headset with a $100 set of sunglasses? A $300 "converged" device.

I like it!

I'm a big fan of Oakley and use their eye protection products for shooting sports. Superb quality.

Aside from the aforementioned Mot/Treo interop issues, I'd be a bit worried about wind noise on that gizmo. Where is the mic pickup?

A full report is expected, including TTTL (Total Time To Launch: from package open to success). Performing parallel tasks, such as reading manual while battery charges is considering cheating.

I think it's more like like $75 + $150... but the point still holds

I'm hoping to pick them up on Friday, but will be unavailable until next wednesday... either way, I'll bring a full report as soon as possible.

Lousy waits! (yes, it's free and I'm still impatient :-P)

Well so far I'm thrilled... the sound quality has been great, the way the mic is positioned I don't expect any wind noise, it's recessed, no screen type of thing... but I haven't been outside with it yet... sounds is very loud and crisp and clear (as compared to the regular earpiece on my treo which is always too quiet).

Total setup took about 30 seconds... everybody recognized everyone just fine... only feature the headset supports that I haven't tested yet is the voice dialing, not sure the treo even supports it... I'll toy with it when I'm back home.

Plus just for a small bonus the headset easily clicks off from the sunglasses when you don't want it.... so far I give it 5 stars, 4 if you consider the price.
