    Question Treo 650 and Motorola HS850 Problems

    I recently purchased the Motorola HS850 for my Treo 650 and am having difficulty with hearing. I have to turn the volume up on the earpiece all the way and it is still not loud enough. I also hear static every now and then and it is just not as clear as it should be. I double checked to make sure my volume on my cell phone is up all the way as well. I have the latest updates from Cingular Wireless for this device (firmware fully up-to-date).

    Does anything have a similar issue with this bluetooth device? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Gary

    Hey there,

    I'd also try adjusting the volume on the BT headset as well.
    You might also try re-pairing the device. (delete it off the Treo & re-add.)

    If all else fails, there's an app called VolumeCare or something like that. It will allow you to up the volume even further on your BT headset.

    Get it here:

    funny i've been trying to link my hs850 with the treo and its been spotty and now i cant even pair them. the treo doesnt seem to be able to discver the 850. a bunch of the diffrent websites seem to give diffrent info as to whether they are even compatible .
    have you seen definate info that they are even compatible?
    but i did get the volume care" beamed " to me and it did make a diffrence.

    Smile The Plantronics Discovery 640 is best for Treo700w

    I have tried a few BT headsets, first the Motorola HS850 two times if the first time wasn't enough, the crackling, gurgling & static was way too much for me.
    Then a Jabra 350v works great but has low volume, especially if the car windows are down and the radio is on.:mad:
    Finally after careful consideration the Plantronics Discovery 640 is perfect for me, loud volume, so loud it will burst your eardrum on the highest setting. Not to mention that I forgot it was in my ear because it's so light. I thought the in your ear plug was going to irritate me but to my surprise the gel plugs is genius. :tongue:
    The Plantronics Discovery 640 is awesome.
    T-Mobile PocketPC -> T-Mobile HP6315 -> T-Mobile BlackBerry 7100t -> T-Mobile Treo 600 -> Cingular Treo 650 :mad: -> Verizon Treo 650 -> Treo700w
