VoiceCom1.6,Bluetooth and Verizon 700W - My experience
First a disclaimer: I have never before used any type of headset with any phone and this is my first Bluetooth experience.
The BT headset (jabra) that verizon sold me as part of a package was crap - I returned it and went with the wired set.
Internet research turned up the Tekkeon bluetooth headset - it looked good had some good reviews - I got one. It works swell; thus far never a single problem - its functioning is completely transparent to the user (me).
Verizons literature says bluetooth voice command does not work with the 700W - what do they mean "not work" ?
After installing VoiceCom 1.6 - this is what I got: The headset button ACTIVATES the VoiceCom (a big plus as I dont have to reach and hold the button- VC1.5 did not do this for me); VoiceCom lady talks only thru the phone speaker (hard to hear in my noisy truck); Unclear if MY voice is processed thru the headset or the speakerphone (but I am not yelling at it - I raise my voice slightly - the phone is mounted an arms length away).
As I said, I have no experience to gage against - only what I have read here and the experience above.

I think what they are saying is voice dialing does not work with bluetooth. Your headset should be fine. There may be a program that will work with voice dialing out there...

Just trying to learn and talk at the same time here.

Thats what I was thinking all along.
The one thing that changed (at least in my case) was that using the VC1.5 that came with the phone, the voice dial ativation could ONLY be done using the hard button on the phone.
With 1.6 the answer/hangup buutton on the headset activates it. I also think the speach is more clear.
