Is there anyway to avoid the 2 yr contract as a new customer?

New Cingular TREO 650 owner here and I love it. I was Cingular's website trying to buy ringtones. When I selected a ringtone that I wanted to purchase, it asked what kind of phone I had and it didn't list Palm as a phone manufacturer. Anyone have any tips for me? Thanks!

Has anyone ever used Cingular to repair thier TREO for a non LCD screen related problem? I have been told "they don't repair". Anything? Coop :laugh3:

talked to a cingular rep today and was told by them that they would be getting the treo 680 and the 750 by nov 17 per email conformation and training they just got.She said that the pricing would be $499 with $100 mail in rebate for the treo 750 and $399 with a $100 mail in rebate for the treo 680
