It seems like the data service for cingular is down in Houston. Anyone else experience this?

Yes. Tried in both New York and New Jersey since earlier this afternoon/evening and each time the connection says "canceling" :mad:

Update:
My Cingular GPRS connection was down from Friday afternoon until late Saturday night. It suddenly started working late Saturday night.
