The 2 differentiating features on the 650 are:
    1. Bluetooth : meaing you can use a host of Bluetooth accessories - wireless headsets, car kits, etc.
    2. Hi-resolution screen: no comparison between the two. The 650 screen is absolutely beautiful

The cost is negligible (in my opinion) as the Cingular Treo 650 is down to $229. The features are easily worth the investment. There are other features -- faster processor, includes Real Player to play MP3's, etc.

Just my 2 cents. I use a 600, but looking to upgrade shortly.

I would say go 650. A lot to love about this one.....

    - high res screen (320x320)
    - bluetooth
    - The latest version of OS5 Garnet
    - Updated Palm PIM apps
    - Bump in processing speed
    - Some what better keyboard

All in about the same package. Nice, go for it, take the plunge

I just updated (finally  ) to the Treo 650. While I'm still in agreement with my previous post. I've found a few things about the Treo 650 that I just absolutely love. First off, the keyboard is much easier to type on and it's super bright when illuminated. The addition of the Answer/Hang Up buttons are nice improvements over the 600. One of the improvements I noticed right off the bat was the integration of the favorites with the dial pad. It makes accessing the phone, speed dials and favorite applications a breeze.

Now, back to my original quote:
Hi-resolution screen: no comparison between the two. The 650 screen is absolutely beautiful
It's such a pleasure to use this phone. The screen is out of this world. Because of the screen, I'm planning on using this as an iPod Photo -- whenever I visit relatives or friends and want to share photos -- I'm going to use my Treo 650 in a way similar to the iPod photo. The screen is that clear.

    1. Bluetooth : meaing you can use a host of Bluetooth accessories - wireless headsets, car kits, etc.
I hate wires and cannot count how many times I dragged my Treo 600 to street when forgetting I was attached to my headset. I plan on using the Sony Ericcson HBH-660. I've heard good things about this headset and like the caller id function. More affordable Bluetooth headsets that I heard are very good with the Treo would be the Cardo Scala 500

Good luck with your decision. Either way, I'm sure you'll enjoy the power and flexibility of a Treo smartphone.

Well, I bypassed the 600 and jumped straight to the 650 from the 300. The 600 didn't offer a lot more than the 300 except the soap bar form factor. I wanted a higher res screen along with Bluetooth. And I got both with the 650. And at a price that can't be beat! $50. Okay, so that was the deductible with my lock/line loss replacement insurance. And it is a refurb, but you can't tell.
