    Hi plunker:

There are BB add-on plans, but looks like for something like the Sprint Simply Everything and the more basic Everything plans, Blackberry service is included too:
Unlimited mobile internet and messaging: Web surfing, email, GPS Navigation, text, BlackBerry® Internet Services (BIS), pictures, video and for capable phones, Sprint Music and Sprint TV®

The BIS service is what gives them up to 10 email accounts and the data and all appears to be included, so you don't have to add on a BB plan. The account just has to be provisioned properly for the BB services. As a matter of fact, I couldn't even find a separate BB plan on their website.

If a user wanted BES (BB Enterprise Service), there would be an extra charge, but for a personal user that is overkill. You also need a server to run the BES services. It is really for corporate users.

    Just thought you should know...

(he is with sprint) It will not work with the sprint data plans but has to work with the blackberry add on. He played around with my 755p the other day and said he really missed being able to check scores on the internet.

    Hi:

I am glad you made your choice and I hope it works out great for you. It is good that you went to the store to handle and play with a selection of devices. Just make sure you check the various forums to see what type of feedback the devices of choice have gotten. If you will have it for a couple of years you want to go in with your eyes wide open and aware of the types of issues there could be.

I wish you all the best and hope to see you around here at ET.

I figure I can pick one up for under $200 and get used to having a smartphone for a couple years. After that Palm will have released the new OS and made many revisions to it and I will see how it compares to WM at that time.

    I appreciate all the responses.

Thanks again Steve. I will definitely be around. I am forced to wait until mid Sept before making my purchase but I plan to continue to do my research until then.

I've got my notes on how to handle the first charge on the battery and am contemplating picking up an extended battery when I purchase the phone, same goes for a case.

Well, Im back a little faster than you may have thought... I figured I should start prepping myself for my upcoming purchase so I opted to start asking my questions specific to the 680 as I have them.

Since I know which phone I will be getting I posted these questions in the 680 section. I am hoping that those who were kind enough to help me with making the decision, will help me in answering some of the questions about my decision...

Link to new batch of questions

Help me start out right, please...
