Alarm clock, ring tone questions, contacts filter, GPS Navigator TomTom6 I just bought my treo 700w and love it.... I always used my regular cell phone as an alarm clock and now that I have the treo, I would like to use it as my alarm clock in the morning to wake up.
When I went to set the alarm, there were very few alarm sounds (I think only 4) and all of them were very short in duration. The ones that I used to have pre-programmed on my verizon cell phone were much longer and infact, the same as my ring tones. Can I use the ringtones provided on the treo as my alarm sounds? If so, how can I accomplish this? I played around with this all day yesterday but was unsuccessful. If I can't do this, where can I download some new tones for purposes of using as my alarm sound. I need an alarm that is going to be longer than 4 or 5 beeps. The alarm sounds presently on the 700w are very short in duration.
The other question that I have is in regards to using my contacts folder. I have alot of contacts listed in my treo and I even have many different categories. When I select a category it lists out the contacts within that category (which is what i want). So, I then go ahead and make a phone call and after the phone call when I go back to the contacts folder it defaults me back to "all contact" and not the particular category that I was just in. I know on my hp pda that I was using, whenever I would select a particular category within the contacts folder that it would stay on that category until I changed it back to another category. Why does the treo always default back to "all contacts"?
One more question I have is in regards to using the 700w as a GPS Navigator. I have used the Navteq GPS on my hp4155 pocket PC for 2 years now and love it, but since I now have the treo 700w I would like to put the software on the treo so that I don't have to carry around the pda anymore. Can I load up the Navteq software to the treo 700w or do I have to go out and buy the Palm GPS Navigator for Smartphone. I was looking at the palm site and saw that there is the TomTom6 version out for $299. Has anyone used it? Do you like it? What happens when you are driving and using the GPS and then get a phone call?
Thanks,
