Anyone switch from BB to 800w or similar?
Hello
I got my first PDA phone this week and picked up the Blackberry Curve at Sprint. Since I'm new to smart phones I wasn't entirely sure what to expect but after a few days I'm wondering if the 800w or maybe the new Pro might be a better match for me.
The BB is fun and I'm pretty happy with it. It seems to handle my Hotmail and Gmail well. It syncs perfectly with my Google Calendar and Contacts. Email responses aren't too bad on the keyboard. The clarity on the phone seems really good. I enjoy the custom profile for notifications like email, text, and calls, along with the led indicator for all those messages. And there seems to be other neat minor features like the auto shutdown and turn on.
But there are a few areas where it's not as nice as I'd like. Namely it's the calendar, which I find hard to read and nearly useless. My appointments from Google are there but the UI is not fun. Also, web browsing isn't that great even with Opera Mini. It just seems hard to get around. There's also no integration with my favorite to-do applications like Toodledo or Remember The Milk (but I don't think Win Mobile integrates with them either - only iPhone). Finally, I don't see an easy way to create and manage documents that can be uploaded and shared on the web, which I think can be done via Skydrive and Win Mobile.
So, since I'm new to smart phones, it's hard for me to know what works for me or what I need. I am having fun with the BB but I keep thinking a Win Mobile smart phone might be a better match. I assume the 800w or the Pro would be better for web browsing, calendar viewing, and document creation and sharing.
Any former BB users who switched to a Win Mobile phone like the 800w care to share?

Sprint will be getting the Treo Pro real soon, so I would wait for it instead of going with the 800W. I had 3 800W devices before giving up the ship and going with a Touch Pro. The Treo Pro is manufactured for Palm by HTC, as the Touch Pro is also manufactured by HTC. Build quality is much better with these 2 devices. From a bit of reading, there really are no major problems with the Treo Pro or the Touch Pro.
Other than the sliding keypad, I am very satisfied with the Touch Pro. It is stable, plenth of memory, does not bog down, behaves really well with Bluetooth, et cetera.

I thought I read that many had issues with the Touch Pro, even more than the 800w. I do agree that waiting on the Treo Pro is probably smarter than going with the 800w, that is, if I decide to ditch the BB Curve.
