Default Applications not displaying properly on square screen

Is there a utility what can fool applications writted for a standard 240x320 screen to display properly on the Treo Pro's 320x320 screen? I've searched the forum (and other places) without success for an answer. I have several applications that seem to display themselves based on the screen width (320) and I loose the bottom part of the application.
I would have expected Palm to provide such a utility standard when releasing a product with a non-standard aspect ratio. Am I then only person having this problem?

    Thanks in advance.

Nope, I had that problem also when I was running the 800W. Have you checked with the developer, as bunches were updated.

To answer my own question, I spent several hours searching and found an answer.
RealVGA is an application that can be installed, allowing you to change the screen resolution. I found setting the display to 96DPI with RealVGA solved the problem. It now displays 240x320 applications correctly, leaving an unused area on the right side of the display. It does shrink the size of the menues but I can live with that. It works well on the Palm Treo Pro.
RealVGA can be found at the following link.

RealVGA has issues on the 800W, hence something I tried and gave up on. On a device that fully supports it, the results are good.
