    Question Battery Question: Charger Necessary?

I did some shopping last week here at the ET Store and received my goodies yesterday. I was checking out my new Seidio Extended Battery for Treo 700P (which arrived with the Palm Headphone Adapter for Treo 700P) and noticed that the packaging states to "charge it for at least 8 hours before placing it in the phone". I do not have a charger (nothing was mentioned in the description of the battery on the product page). Is it required? Can I turn the radio and device off completely and just let it charge in the phone overnight? Anyone have any horror (or happy) stories one way or the other?

Thanks in advance for the assist,
    David

I think it's safe to charge in the phone overnight while the radio/device is off. I haven't used the Seidio, but I can see the charger being a requirement.

Thank you for your business! Very much appreciated.

I'll give that a whirl tonight.

As do I. Often, I'll play some solitaire or Video Jigsaw before calling it a night, while it's plugged in. But I was concerned about this being a new battery and if I should charge it in the phone or in a separate charging base.

So far, no worries. I left it alone last night and everything is hunky-dory at the moment.

I cant see it making a difference, other than if something happens and thats a 3rd party charger, your warranty is void
