So I get this thing that looks and feels like a Star Trek communicator with color, internet, phone, and my life in its bowels; and everytime I show it to someone they say "Wow, cool, does it take pictures?"

What with T Mobile and Sprint both pushing camera-phones (free! free!) can we expect anything down the road for TREO?

I know we don't have an expansion slot like Visor, but there are cameras that work with palms by attaching to the USB port.

Do you have more info on the Palm based cameras that use a USB port? If it's based on the Palm OS, then should be Treo compatible?

For the pre-expansion slot Palms you had to get one specific to your model. They were molded to fit the bottom and plug into the connector used for the hotsync/charger. So there are 2 connection issues: 1) the connector itself (pin out) and 2)the shape of the PDA body fitting the camera body.
