Completely Free Ringtones - Treo Forums

I found on Download.com a free ringtone program... 20000 Free Ringtones (tested spyware free).

I downloaded the program, which comes in 5 .zip files, onto my home computer.

Now mind you, these are .mid ringtones, not songs or music, but there are 20,000 to choose from, with tones ranging from religious to computer games.

I went through the tones, chose the ones I wanted by attaching them to a yahoo email, and then emailed them to myself, opened the email on my Treo 750, downloaded them saving as and placed them in a file, but also saved them onto my storage card (saves on device memory and can transfer from phone to phone). I then went to my Sounds folder menu and added the tones to my sounds. You can then edit each contact as needed to assign your new ringtone.

Pretty simple seeing how I've only had my Treo for two weeks.

Looks like the name of the software is "20000 Free Ringtones" and can be found at download.com. The reviews are not what I would consider to be stellar, but it might work for you.....

The reviews for the program may not be great, but it depends on what you're looking for. If you're wanting Top 40 music, this is not for you. I'm probably what is considered a baby-boomer, and don't need all that music on my phone. If simple tones is what you want, try it.

I downloaded several TV show theme songs (Sex in the City, Cheers), some country tones, movie tones, video game tones, jazz tones. Its time consuming going through the list of 20,000, but surely there's something for everyone!
