Finally...The Forums Are Finished - Page 2 - Treo Forums

This looks great. Teh blue was an insteresing change as I thought the green scheme worked great.

I was wondering last night what was going on, glad to see that it was all just the upgrades process.

Now does this new forum allow for easier viewing on our Treos, or will we still have to deal with big forum/smaller screen thingys

It is much, much better on the Treo. Fast load time and an improved layout.

This was an "out of the box" solution - so, I'm going to be tweaking it to make it look more "everything treo" like. I've also got a new forum in the works that is more in line with what you see on the rest of the site. That should be real exciting. Look for it in about 3 weeks or so if everything goes well.

I was wondering too.

I had some major issues, but luckily had the help of a good net friend in New Zealand. He helped fixed some coding issues. Because we brought the forum software up to date, there was a need to update the templates. So there were all kinds of updates last night. Things should run smooth and I also don't expect downtime when the new template goes live.

From what I've heard, the new template loads pretty fast on the Treo. We also have a Mobile template, but that's having some issues with the new forum software. I plan on taking a good hard look at the mobile version of the forums and hope to have good news in that area shortly.

Someting weird; just did the style change (bottom left side) and went back to the old template, but cannot go back. I am getting some errors in my console:

Error: fetch_object("pagenav_form") has no properties

and

Error: switch_styleid is not defined

Hope that helps find the issue.

I have to upgrade the old style to version 3.5. I should have that done this afternoon. Don't select the Mobile template -- otherwise you'll get stuck and have to delete your cookies.

This thread makes me laugh a bit, because this feels like "the hundreth time" the forums are finished. It's been a constant work in progress. Anyway, this time I had some big time help from one of the best in the business - vbmechanic. We both tested the new template extensively today, made numerous tweaks and things look good. I'd like to solicit your help. If you have any problems or if anything "looks weird", please let me know. If it's my Avatar, that's beyond repair.

I'm calling it a night, but turning on the new design.
