Default How Many Treo/Palm/PDA Devices Do You Own?

I have seen many users on these boards talk about how many devices that they own...so, let's talk about how many you own...and WHY?! Let's also discuss your progression in what you HAVE owned. I own a Sprint Palm Treo 700p and that's it. I can't AFFORD anything more! (Nor do I need more.) I've just been curious, so maybe we could all get some fun information!

My PDA history has been long...I started off with a Palm V way back in the day. I felt it wasn't enough so I got a Compaq iPaq in the 3000 series. Too much at that point and didn't have a PDA for a long time. I got tired of having to carry it around with a cell phone. Most recently I had a Sony Clie' and then upgraded to the Palm Treo 650. Now I'm at the 700p...SO glad I went with the Treo!

I have a problem getting rid of devices, though I just sold the 600 and the 700w. I am looking at adding a 700wx and giving the wife the 700p and the 650 going to one of the kids.

The 700w was used only for work and that was it, so my real world experience with it is not that much, my enjoyment of the 700p far exceeded that of the 700w. I figure by moving on I will have reason to go further with the Windoz system. Ben

I started out with a 650, my first Palm device ever, and moved up to the 700p when it came out. I eBay'ed the 650 shortly after getting the 700p, so I guess technically I owned two Treos for a short time.

Before the Treo, I had a Samsung i370, a Pocket PC. Before that, I had an HP Jornada 540 (I think?). I actually still have the Samsung sitting around somewhere collecting dust.

I have a Treo 300, Treo 600 (currently out on loan to my sister), Treo 650, Treo 700w, Treo 700p and a sample unit of the Treo 680. I had an orange Handspring Visor (not sure where it is) and one of the original Pilots (my brother inherited, but hope to get it back someday). I also have a Motorola Q.

Add an iPod Video, iPod Shuffle to my collection of gadgetary....

I'm holding onto my Treo 650 until a family member is ready to switch to Sprint; then, I'll give it to her.

I just upgraded to the Treo 700p, and love it. (Although, I can't wait until the Palm OS is upgraded. I see more micro-freezes than I would like.)

I will be owning a Treo 700wx. I've had a handspring a while ago, not sure where that went. Batteries were dieing to fast so I stopped using it.

Add a 60 iPod video, Dell Axim X50, and a BlackBerry 7130e (works leash) to my list of gadgets.

I only have one, my 650. As Jimmy Breslin said of New York City, it's a thing "I love and hate equally." The Treo was, however, a wonderful consolidation move; between my pager, my PDA, my cell phone, and my occasional iPod, it was starting to look like I was wearing Batman's utility belt.

My first PalmOS device was the Pilot 1000, which I bought in 1995. Remember that one? Well before the Palm IIIc brought color PDA screens to market. The Treo 650 is my 4th. I've had two Sony Cliés in between.

You can see my history in my Signature. As far as what is left, I still have the Tungsten, and of course the 650. The IIIc and the Visor Prism all ended up in the Trash. The visor had glue all over it from where I kept trying to fix it after hard knocks. I loved that Visor with the Phone Module add on. I didn't like trying to dial and drive at the same time however. No such thing as one handed use with that puppy!

I also had a bud that gave me either a 270 or a 300, I can't remember. . . Anyway, I was using it for a PDA only, thinking about activating it, when guess what?? I dropped it, just like I had the IIIc and the Visor prior! It hit a tiled floor and broke into three pieces. I had owned it about 3 weeks! At that point, I decided that a converged device wasn't for me. Picked up the Tungsten and a Nokia Cell and lived that way for a while. Since I have made the move back to one device, (knock on wood) I have yet to drop the 650.
