Default How much data is used to check mail?

Hey everyone, I use Apple .Mac mail and have a 2mb a month plan with Rogers, which is plenty for email. I'm just curious on average, when I request it checks my email, how much data does that normally use? Assuming even if there's no mail, what are we looking at? I'm trying to figure out how often to have it automatically check. I'd prefer as often as possible, but not if it's like 5kb each time it checks or something. Any one have any ideas?

I can't speak for everyone but you had me curious, so here's what I did...

I checked the lifetime data usage for my phone, then, using ChatterEmail, manually checked one pop3 acct. It was a pretty standard transaction, deleted a few, downloaded a few, and used 14kb. Maybe that will give you something to go by.

I have a Treo 650, is there a menu option or something that will show my lifetime data use? That would be handy..

From the phone app, hit ##786#. If you've got Verizon, I believe you want #*#786#.

I don't know if these codes will work on the Canadian network or not. Maybe another Canadian member can jump in?
