| Is it secure to do online banking on a treo? Hi,
Well I was reading an article on treo security and then it hit do you think it is secure to do online banking on a treo?
Also how important is security to you?
What apps do you use to keep your PIM, stocks, cerdit cards, and banking safe.
Final question what happens if your treo was stolen what would you do/can do?
Thank you for your replies. |

| Have you tried dimtry new app the bluepill it is an sms killer but without all the other butler stuff. It is still beta but suppose to be released before decmber.
Works well and has a lot more features compared to butler.
Just wondering if you have tried.
Also are there any good freeware password safe appps?
And how scure are they?
Thanks for any info. |

| I tried BluePill last night and was very pleased with it. It's reaction to a received SMS is in the background and the result you see is the final steps of powering off, locking or whatever function is desired. http://palmpowerups.com/modules.php?...download&cid=1
At this time I have enabled remote lock, remote card wipe and remote hard reset. The command structure is a breeze. Before testing the remote lock and hard reset, I backed up the Treo and then execute the remote lock - worked fine and then the hard reset - it worked fine. I say the remote lock occur, the hard reset, wow it flashed on the screen with the formatting sequence displayed - very quick.
I have been using mSafe for remote locking because of its ability to send an email to a specific address and it works well with that; however, I am able to work around it if I pay close attention to it.
I use Butler only for nagging. It's remote locking can be interrupted.
I have used TealLock for a couple of years and upgraded to V6 last night - and it also supports remote action. The upgrade for TealLock at $7.95 is a good price considering the rewrite.
My set up now is TealLock for basic security and Blue Pill for remote security.
$7.95 is a good price. Thanks for the tip.
Ben
