If you haven't seen the article, palmOne announced the LifeDrive Mobile Manager today. It looks pretty cool. It comes with a 4GB hard drive, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. It has VersaMail and comes with native support for PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
As a Treo owner, I wouldn't see a need to get a LifeDrive. The next gadget I'll add will probably be a Sony PSP. That being said, I hope they add some of the LifeDrive features into next generation Treo smartphones. In particular, Wi-Fi. Adding an internal HD would add too much bulk, but it's a terrific feature. The LifeDrive looks to be a middle of the road product - part iPod Photo, part Treo, part Tungsten.
I'm curious what type video applications would work on the LifeDrive? It would be cool to have a video download service similar to what iTunes does with music.
Any opinions on the LifeDrive?
