Question LifeDrive Features In A Treo

If you haven't seen the article, palmOne announced the LifeDrive Mobile Manager today. It looks pretty cool. It comes with a 4GB hard drive, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. It has VersaMail and comes with native support for PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

As a Treo owner, I wouldn't see a need to get a LifeDrive. The next gadget I'll add will probably be a Sony PSP. That being said, I hope they add some of the LifeDrive features into next generation Treo smartphones. In particular, Wi-Fi. Adding an internal HD would add too much bulk, but it's a terrific feature. The LifeDrive looks to be a middle of the road product - part iPod Photo, part Treo, part Tungsten.

I'm curious what type video applications would work on the LifeDrive? It would be cool to have a video download service similar to what iTunes does with music.

Any opinions on the LifeDrive?

Here's the LifeDrive release.

it's a very good pda, a little big, but, such features are sooo usefull
it's a bit slow, but I had a T3 before, so.. I shoud be carefull about this point
for videos, you can use TCPMP, it's free and doesn't need any conversion before to read a video ( .mpg, .avi, a.s.o.)

It looks a little heavy. I really like the look of the unit -- looks to have a lot of stylings found in my PowerBook.

Default LifeDrive Opinion

It is cool and I like having all the office software, but I'm trying to keep the size down on my pda's. I would also like to see WiFi, bluetooth, and voice recogntion added to the Treo in the future.
