 Looking to "upgrade"

I've been using palm products for more than 10 years. I currently have a 650. I don't buy something new everytime they come out. The 650 is slowly dying. Looking at Pro or Pre. I have confidential info on my PDA. Can't use Google or other "cloud" methods for sync. I see that the Pre would sync with Outlook but only via WIFI and with 3rd party software. Not sure about Pro. Since both of these have Bluetooth why don't they sync through Bluetooth? Too simple? I currently sync the 650 with Bluetooth. Is Palm really going backwards just to have pretty colors and touch screens? Or am I missing something. Gotta buy soon.
